On 24th September 2001, a Company has been incorporated in the name style as Chandelier Power Gen Private Limited under Indian Companies Act 1956 with five promoter directors. The main objects of the Company are to generate Power using Biomass / agri wastes. The Company was taken over by a professional team during end February 2005 and started working on its completion. After take over of the Company, the new Board has converted the Private Limited Company to PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY by changing its constitution as governed under Indian Companies Act 1956 and with effect from 4th March 2005, the name style of the Company remains as CHANDELIER POWER GEN LIMITED. In principle clearance from Ministry of Energy, Government of Karnataka for 6.0 MW Biomass based Power generation plant to set up at Humnabad, Bidar District. Approval from High Level Committee of Single Window Agency – Karnataka Udyog Mitra for infrastructural developments Approval from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd, Bangalore for Evacuation of generated power to their Sub Station at Humnabad. During November 2002 enhancement of Installed Capacity from 6.0 MW to 7.5 MW from Ministry of Energy, GOK Subsequent approval from KPTCL for evacuation of additional capacity Signing of Power Purchase Agreement with KPTCL Selection of land – conducted resistivity investigation by NGRI for availability of water and paid advance to the land lord GOK has approved to set up the plant in private lands. The company has gone for private land due to non-availability of sufficient water in the lands allotted by the Govt. Approval received from Ministry of Energy GOK duly approving the change of Constitution of Company from Private Limited to PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY.
